Liquid Animation in After Effects
Cuberto·Design Team·May 27, 2021·10 min read
Liquid animation is a signature Cuberto style. This foundational tutorial teaches the core techniques for creating convincing fluid motion in After Effects using native tools.
Core Technique
The liquid effect is achieved by combining simple shape layers with the Simple Choker effect. By merging overlapping shapes, we create the illusion of fluid blobs connecting and separating organically.
Variations & Applications
Once you master the core technique, we explore variations — liquid buttons, fluid loaders, morphing icons, and transition effects. Each variation builds on the same fundamental principle, giving you a versatile tool for motion design.
