Ride-Hailing Driver App — Oman
The driver app for Oman's Tasleem Taxi network: trip assignments, in-app navigation, earnings tracking and delivery handling, built to keep working on the road.
The brief

For ride-hailing drivers, the app is how they earn. Missed trip requests, laggy GPS, unclear fares and crashes mid-ride cost them income and frustrate riders. The Tasleem network needed a driver app that stayed accurate and dependable with patchy connectivity, for drivers handling both rides and deliveries.

The team built a cross-platform React Native app around real-time trip updates. Push notifications deliver new requests even when the app is in the background. Live GPS tracking and in-app navigation mean drivers don't need a separate map app, and fare estimates show before a trip is accepted. Offline-aware flows and saved session state let drivers carry on through connectivity drops and return to an active trip.

How it was built
Studied how drivers work across rides and deliveries to define the real-time architecture the app needed.
Designed simple, glanceable screens for accepting trips, navigating and checking earnings.
Built real-time GPS updates, push notifications, offline-aware flows and in-app navigation in React Native.
Released both platforms with crash monitoring, structured releases and ongoing workflow improvements.
